Biografia

Samuel Lane has grown up in the Vineyard church, pouring his life into crafting songs that draw people closer to God.

For twenty years he has continued to refine his songwriting, exploring musicality and faith in worship.. and developed a standard for songs that feature uncompromising honesty, matched with a simplicity and authenticity that draws you towards the Creator.

Lane has written and recorded over 40 songs with Vineyard Worship (previously Vineyard Records) including ‘Beautiful’ the title track of the 2002 genre-defining Vineyard album of the same name - the song was covered by Jesus Culture for their 2008 record Your Love Never Fails. Other notable Lane tracks include ‘Adore Him’, ‘Pour It Out’ and ‘Fiery Love’.

In 2013 Vineyard UK featured Samuel on their first ever solo worship album, titled The Fire; Christianity Magazine commended the album saying, ‘[The Fire is] incredible, there hasn’t been an album that has captured my attention in such a way for a long time’.

Five years on, Lane and Vineyard Worship release the follow up album, The Difference. The story is one of looking to Jesus. When we fall short, he offers his hand. When we are weak, he is our strength. When we fail, he is the difference. Each song has been crafted with the same intensity and rawness as has become fitting for a Samuel Lane record, and the songs are sure to encourage listeners to deepen their relationship with God and desire more intimacy with him.

Lane works for the Vineyard Church in St.Albans as worship pastor and has led worship at events such as David’s Tent, Big Church Day Out and Vineyard national conferences. He’s married to Sarah and they were recently joined by an amazing little man called Sunny! Samuel is fiercely passionate about the presence of God and drawing us ever closer to a real and genuine relationship with our maker.

The Difference releases worldwide on Friday 2nd February 2018 and will be Vineyard Worship (UK & Ireland)’s inaugural release.
